[OOC: Another PSL AU pet person tale. Continuation of this thread!]
~
Mu lived in the wild once. He tried to remember what his original homeland was like. There are forests and mountains, and he travels with his nomadic herd as they migrate when the seasons changes. That was a month ago when he was captured by humans, shipped overseas in a cage and on a boat, then in a strange stable with the other animals where he was kept for a month, until he was moved again on a truck with the others, and he landed in another strange land, a village to be sold as an exotic pet for a quick cash in an auction.
Now he has no means in returning back home, back to the wild where he originally came from. As he has no idea how to travel there or the name of his homeland is. The human language, he's doesn't know their words and what they mean. He was a wild and feral sheep.
He never lives with humans before. Leanne is his first owner. When they first met, he was a very sickly sheep, traumatized from being captured from the wild and to be sold like a common household pet. She took care of him, nursed him back to health, and once he fit enough to walk around her home, it's the taming of his wildness and feral mind that comes next.
The pet and cuddles, and the kisses she gave him, during her breaks helped him withdraw from his shell and him trusting her as a human. He even learns to speak his name and her name.
"Mu...my name is Mu." He said as he cuddles with her on the couch. "Mu helps Leanne...? Teach? Learn?" New words he's learning. "Leanne is good."

Dinner is made, and all the yummy, steaming vegetables, fresh from the surrounding farms are made on their plates served with crispy, hot dinner rolls fresh from the oven, where eaten with butter, it's the best thing he has ever eaten beside a nibble of fresh green wheatgrass and dry hay.
Dinner came and went, and Mu, having grown and learned of the routine taught by Leanne, took a shower, and puts on his pajamas to get ready for bed as it has been a long day. He's about to go to his bedroom, but he waited in the corridor by her room to see if she wants her nightly cuddles and pets.
"Are you cold tonight? Would you like me to join you?"
no subject
Dinner was always an enjoyable time. Before Mu, she would always eat alone and realize just how lonely she was. But now, it was so much better as he seemed to enjoy every bite of food.
The nightly routine started when dinner was finished and once she heads for bed, she catches sight of him waiting for her. She just smiles at him and nods her head. "I would love it if you join me, Mu. You are always so soft and warm." And she goes to head towards bed, scooting a little to give him room.
no subject
"If you were wanted a human mate, would he be like?" He asked her, curious as he yawns a bit, a sleepy bleat.
no subject
Emerald eyes blink at his question and she shrugs her shoulders. "First off, he would have to get your approval and he would have to like you. Then, I guess someone who is strong but kind. Someone who can make me feel safe and loved. He doesn't need to share my passions but it will be a nice bonus if he did." She yawns a little herself. "I think the most important thing would be he will have to have a gentle and loving heart, but not afraid to protect if the need arises. Loving children is a must as well."
She pauses a moment as she yawns again. "Why do you ask?"
no subject
And he is not certain if a human male would care for his approval, as today the guy just came in and ignored him, and it's hard for Mu to stay out of sight.
"What's your passion? Besides helping people and animals? I hope we have this clinic forever." He's curled up some more. "I don't remember what my homeland is like...or the name of my homeland. So this is home for now."
no subject
This... This was the most he was interested in her like this. A part of her wondered what spurred this on because that suitor coming in.
She blushes and looks away. "... I like flowers and singing." So much blushing right now. "As well as teas and baking." If he couldn't tell with her butter rolls as well as the horn decorations. Speaking of which, she reaches over to lightly touch his horns.
"Does... Does it bother or annoy you when I buy or make you those jewelry pieces? For your horns? I know that some of them are not manly at all...."
no subject
She may have to tickle him in the soft underbelly if she can reach for it if she wants to make him laugh. For now, the thick wool is all she's getting for her fingers to get tangled with. For now, her sheep hardly laugh, though he tends to mirror her laugh and giggle if he could.
He took mental note of what she said, and most of the stuff she likes, he likes as well. His horns are hard and bony, and they spiral around the side of his head. "It's okay. I don't mind..." He lets her do what she wants because a part of him craves that tenderness from a female.
"I belonged to you." He said and then closed his eyes trying to get some sleep, trying to make sense to what he's feeling today. "So I'm all yours."
For now, he is going to try to get used to her touches and her loving care, and trying to get some sleep. He's grown attached to her, but at the same time, he tries to cope in losing his herd, when he's in a pure state of ram mind, and the pain of losing his family and homeland as he remains with her. While he lost his home, he doesn't feel like a prisoner or being her pet against his will. As he no longer has to worry about finding his food on his own or fearing predators as he sees her as his Master.
He remembered in his past he can protect the herd, being one of the available alpha rams and fighting the other guys for mating rights...but now he can't remember his ability to be strong or to fight. The memory is gone as her touches tamed his body to be more warm, softer, and be more of a pet.
In a way, the wild ram within him has lost its will and wilderness and becomes a docile pet sheep, tamed by her kindness. He fell asleep at some point, but at times, wake up in the middle of the cold dark morning, crying and sniffling on the pillow beneath the blanket, praying she doesn't know. That it's lonely and a part of him tries to accept being a pet, getting used to this life, and actually liking it because he doesn't want to fight for sheer survival anymore, and he's growing more loyal to her by the day, being attached to a human and not resenting it, but accepting it.

Her hand continues to touch his horns. They... they probably could really hurt someone he he ever decided to use them. "Are you sure, Mu? Its okay to tell me that you don't like them."
She blinks at his words and sighs. "You only belong to me as long as you want to. I belong to you as well, my sweet ram."
She notices him trying to sleep so she reaches over to start petting his hair, humming softly to him before it slowly turns into a song. A lullaby that her mother would often sing to her. She studies him as she sings to him, hoping that her dreams will be peaceful.
She does eventually fall asleep, but feeling him move as he woke up, brought her out of her slumber. She can hear his crying and sniffling and doesn't open her eyes. The sadness in him... How can she help it? She wants him to be always happy. Perhaps, she should call her friend from the city to come down and study Mu. Maybe she can place where he is from and he can go home at last.
But... She has grown attached and used to him being by her side. It would sadden her if he wanted to go back home but... He was forcefully taken from it, if it will make him happier than that would be a sacrifice she will be willing to make for him. To give him the chance to go home once she can pinpoint where it could be.
no subject
Although she tamed him, and she is like a light shine in his life, Mu felt something is terribly missing, something that cannot be filled by just simple songs and touches, but he doesn't know what it is that is missing, as it's a gap in his memory and he cannot remember. Still, Leanne becomes more important to him by the day, that he does feel like the most unique sheep in the world and what's important is that she loves him.
And because of that, she comforted him and tamed him, and that makes all the difference, and while sleep is difficult for him, he managed to sleep, trying to overcome the deep bitterness of being taken away from home and being sold to be a slave and pet. Of all the humans, Leanne is the Master he's learning to be accustomed and perhaps learn to love.
- - - - -
Eventually as weeks and months passed since Leanne kept him as a pet, the friend from the city is a senior doctor, an expert in veterinary medicine, and a bald old kindly man with a grey beard and a pair of heavy glasses, who owns a bernard sherpard, who is also old and wears a business suit, just like his master, looking professional as he was the assistant. He came due to Leanne's call for help on the matter of her sheep and for an afternoon of tea and biscuits. Doctor William was his name, and Bernie was the dog's name.
After the examination of Mu, he returned back to drinking his afternoon tea. "Hmm, your sheep is unusual and unique. I have not seen much of his breed during my travels. Basing on the dreams that he had told me and his preferred food, I must say he must have come from the Himalayas. There's a lot of mountains there, famous for the tallest mountains in the world." The doctor even shows her the map on his phone where Mu can be, which is Nepal between India and Tibet.
"However, it's half-way across the world. I don't think your sheep will make it through a long trip. Whoever captured him, they sure put a lot of effort to bring him here, perhaps to be sold as an exotic pet. In that area, people tried to capture tigers, snow leopards, and snakes to be sold."
With the doctor's suggestions, "Perhaps you should try to introduce him to the local sheep around in the neighborhood? Maybe your sheep need to socialize. They're herd animals, so they need each other like a community." It was only a clinical suggestion, as the doctor never seen a sheep, but he had a seen a tiger once and that could go so well...if they choose to get along like a clan.
- - - - -
The doctor's advice for socializing Mu with other the local sheep didn't quite work out. Mu tried it, leaving home for a day in the morning and visiting the neighboring farms to join the herd/sheep community. Often Mu came home surly and irritable as irritable a sheep can be, and spoke little of his day. If anything he was annoyed, and more content helping Leanne around the clinic and be a productive worker in her clinic than visiting those farms. Screw the community. When asked what happened, all he said was that he had an argument and fight with the male sheep within the herd on those farms, and he didn't want to go back and be a part of any herd anymore. He tried all the neighboring farms with their sheep and it didn't work.
"I'm tired of being headbutting against them all the time. The females don't want me, and the guys don't want me there. And I'm having a headache." And he went to his room to rest his headache and to hide, and just he wouldn't upset Leanne if she sees the bruises from those argumentive fights he had with the local male sheep. At this rate, he gave up even trying to woo the local ewes, because he was foreign and strange, and he would brood and look grim and unhappy while working as the fighting and competing with the local males and being called weak and small by them is becoming tiresome and took a toll on him. In fact, he can recall it's the same courting ritual back home in his original herd.
But what did work for him is the doctor correctly guessed Mu homeland, and that was when he started studying the books, watching any films about mountains, and wild sheep, and the native people and their customary fashions and clothes, the people who lived there, and the information began to spark his memory.
"That was it, it was my home." He told her, eyes bright with emotion. "It was so far away..." Then with a sad smile as a memory came back to him when he gazed at the picture of the mountains and began to recall. "I remember...I'm starting to remember villagers make this spicy curry I like, and if I approach them, they eat it with a bread call naan."
no subject
"Goodnight Mu... Sweet dreams my handsome ram....." And after her songs, she shifts to give him a kiss on the cheek before cuddling against him again and going to sleep.
She.... She could not even imagine the pain he feels about his whole experience. She will have to find a way to make it up to him someway... Somehow...
------
Having Doctor Williams and Bernie visit always brightens her mood. She looked up to him and tries her best to follow in his footsteps. She goes to make the best tea she had available and worked hard on the snacks to feed him. She was a little worried about how Mu would act around Bernie and tried to stay by his side in case he gotten frightened of the old shepherd.
When Williams mentioned where Mu could be from, her eyes widen and her heard began to race, "Then... how? He was.... So cruel..." She couldn't properly finish her thoughts before shaking her head. "Then, there isn't a way to help him back home if he wanted to...."
She gives Mu a sadden and apologetic look as that would be far more than she could ever afford to do. "I am sorry Mu...." She can't get home back home without possibly killing him and then she would be no different than the people who kidnapped him.
Emerald eyes blink away the threatening tears at his suggestion and goes to nod her head. "Okay, I can try that. Maybe we will get lucky and he will find a herd." She goes to smile again. "Though the other rams would be jealous at how handsome you are."
------
Doctor William's visit was both depressing but also hopeful. Expect that it went rather poorly and she can see all the fights were taking a toll on him. No... he was supposed to find a herd to fit in and hate a mate. She tried to be encourage but she could tell that he was at his wit's end. When he went to brood in his room, she followed a bit before preparing some of her butter rolls and a hot soup to eat them with. She would leave the small meal along with some painkillers in front of his door, knocking on it before going back downstairs.
The only good news was that Mu was remembering his home and the bright emotion in his eyes was the first time she saw that. She looks towards the picture of the mountain and sighs. "I bet it was really beautiful." Guilt goes through her that she could not safely send him back home.
When he mentioned a curry and naan bread, she goes to ponder a little. "Do...Do you remember what was in the curry? I... I can see if I can recreated it for you." She will have to research online on how to make it properly. If it will give him a little bit of comfort than it would be worth all the troubles in perfecting it.
no subject
In his room, he badly wanted to brood, mean not wanting to eat, but then the painkillers, he'll need it as his head was spinning from headbutting as it's ram nature to headbutt each other and kicking each other to settle their arguments.
His eyes light up, and there are the ear wiggles and a tail wag. "I remember there's onions, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes...and it's orange-red, and it's very spicy and the villagers, they eat it with naan or rice and they share with my herd when we travel and passing by their homes." When she promised to make it for him, for the first time, he had hope and faith in her as his owner and something in his heart began to stir as it began to connect that she truly loves him.
"Would you...would you make it for me?"
no subject
She gave him the space he needed to brood and get over the pain. Giving him the food and painkillers were the only time she will prod into his space.
The ear wiggles and tail wagging... She giggles at the sight of happiness in him. His eyes... This had to be the happiest she has seen him. She listened as he listed the ingredients, making mental notes.
"Of course I will. Though I apologize if it wont taste as good as the villiagers. I will have to go and get the ingredients to try and make it. Please be patient with me to try and perfected it."
She goes to pull out her cellphone to start looking up recipes. "If you can see if the bakery has naan, then I can go to the store and pick up what we will nees for my first try."
no subject
Trying to put on a smile, with ear wiggles, he was hungry after not haven't eaten for a while from brooding too much.
"Okay...or order from a restaurant?" There should be a restaurant in town that specialized in curries if she looked in her phone directly. "I am sooo hungry. I haven't eaten since this morning."
For now, he went to the kitchen to help himself to bread and cheese and fruits from the fridge, and wait for Leanne to come up for dinner.
no subject
"Ordering from a restaurant sounds good for now. That way I can see how it's supposed to taste." She smiles brightly at him and goes to help fetch him some snacks. "You deserve to always be happy, my handsome ram." She coos before kissing the side of his head, being careful of his horns.
She pulls out her phone and finds a restaurant that delivers and proceeds to order two spicy curries. Once the order was placed, she moves to stand behind her ram and gives him a head message, adding extra pressure at certain pinpoints on his head to help the pain.
"You are my big strong ram.... So big and strong. No matter what others may say, you will always be big and strong to me."
no subject
He doesn't understand why she cares so much about him and up until why she's kind to him since the beginning. For now, he thought about the male rams who laughed at him and kicked him out of their herd, and how he wanted to badly a rematch to prove them wrong.
The food was delivered and when dinner was served, and Mu was nearly in tears when one bite becomes another, and a second bite becomes more, and that stirred his appetite. "This taste like home." He said with a happy bleat, and Leanne has this one of the many breakthroughs she discovered about him. "It was really good." So much ear wiggles as he eats and licks his plate clean, including eating the curry plain with the naan. "And spicey, and very yummy."
no subject
She wouldn't be able to fully answer that question. There was just something that drew her to him besides his eyes and since then, she just fell more and more in love with him.
The moment he started to tear up while eating dinner. Just watching him fully enjoy his food.. And having it remind him so much of home. "I am glad... So glad to hear that Mu." And guilt rushes through her as she can't return him home. "I guess then we should order from this restaurant more often. I will also have to look up the clothing styles of that area. In case you want to dress like your home." Mental note was being made, things that remind him of his home makes him happy. "You really like spicy foods, don't you?"
no subject
Leanne has magic around her that he adores and becomes accustomed himself too, but for now, she's like a mother figure to him, and he sees her as his owner who cares for him, and he returns his feelings by working for her around the house to pay it forward.
"It's okay. I just missed eating this." As the food of the villages can get bland after a while. With his belly full, he washed down with the sweet juices. "Yes, I like spicy foods and good seasoning." He said with a happy beat.
The food is all gone and it's becoming late at night, meaning it's time for bath and go to sleep. "Here, let me clean." Being a good sheep, he remembered his chores of cleaning and putting things away.
no subject
Yes, she was his owner and at times, she did feel a sense of pride watching him. Her love for him was the same as any other owner, she would like to believer, towards their pet.
"Okay, well, if you ever want to eat this again, just let me know and I can order it." He was so cute, with how happy he was and finishing his meal right now. "I will have to keep it in mind. You better let me know if my cooking isn't to you liking, especially now you remember the taste of your home."
It was late, she didn't realize just how late it was. "Are you sure? You had a long day." But... If he was sure then she will go ahead and take a shower, getting ready for bed. Perhaps tomorrow, she should go and speak with the flock's owner to see what is going on exactly.
no subject
Still feeling humiliated, he spent the night sleeping in his room alone, and while dinner was delicious, he went back to brood once more, with the bad day still fresh on his mind as he slept, the painkillers were kicking in by the time she sleeps.
- - - - -
The months that followed, from what Leanne gathered from the phone calls of the local sheep breeders and farmers, the answers varied from that the local sheep just won't accept a foreign sheep in their herd, and that Mu is simply a different breed from another region. Some answers and stories are pure denials, saying Mu started the fight, then when fights broke out, he was simply phased out.
Mu stopped visiting those farms, as he said the rams and the dogs on the property chased him out. So much for trying to socialize. He was more withdrawn and brooding in his room that he's more content in being her pet and companion, helping around her clinic, helping her with chores, though now his story was heard, circulating by the locals that they often teased him, as the story about how a shy pink ram is not accepted by any herd and the customers asked Leanne how is her sheep doing these days.
Meanwhile, coming summer, when the heat is slowly rising by the day, Mu's wool is becoming thick that it's pushing against his clothes and pants. It's becoming hot and itchy for him, that it's becoming evident he needs to be sheered, though he's rather skittish about it, the sheering his wool off.
"Leanne, you can have my wool..." He said to her one night after closing time. "My clothes don't fit." He said, bleating unhappily, and with the heat and humidity of summer, it's hot and uncomfortable for him.

-----
The months passed and she was getting more and more annoyed at the answers she was receiving from the sheep breeders and farmers. Especially the stories and claims that Mu was starting the fights.
She tried to hide her anger and annoyance from Mu as she didn't want him to pick up on it. Though it was getting harder and harder, especially when she catches the locals teasing him, to which she would promptly chase off. It was on those days that once the clinic was closed, she couldn't help but to vent in the same but heavier accent to him.
Why couldn't anyone be it human or sheep see just how special and wonderful Mu is? He was so kind and gentle that he wouldn't hurt a fly if he could help it. Just because his wool is pink? What is wrong with being different?! She hated it, hated that everyone seems to join in on the picking.
As summer was starting to come closer, she has been practicing and studying on how to sheer properly, getting ready for the time to sheer him. Something like this... This would be a great exercise in trust for him.
She blinks as he makes the announcement in his own way that it was time to sheer him. She nods her head and just speaks with a gentle tone. "I will try to be quick and gentle about it. Just let me know whenever you need me to stop or take a break." With that, she heads upstairs to a bathroom to get the sheering kit before returning to him. "Just pick where you will be the most comfortable, my beloved ram."
no subject
With a nod, taking a deep breath, "Okay, I'm ready." He waited for her in the bedroom and when she returns with a shearing kit, he removes his shirt, just the top part.
"I just need help with arms, my neck, and on my back..." He said shyly. And when his shirt was removed, there it was, so much glorious wool being grown on his back. As for the part around his leg especially near his groin, he can do that himself.
When this is over, when most of the wool came off, he's going to feel so naked. The wool protected him during the winter and absorbed the hits of the other ships when he fights, making him feel protected and bigger than the other males of the herd.
no subject
He was so fluffy under his shirt. Was he really that wooly? No wonder he was so soft and extra cuddly! She couldn't help but to stare for a moment before smiling and nodding. "Of course. I will start with your neck and back first." To ease him more into it.
This was the first time she has ever sheered him and will be seeing him without his wool on. "Hopefully it won't start growing back until fall time so you will be cool for the remainder of summer." She goes to gently speak as she begins the shearing process.
Like a good doctor, she wasn't fast but was slow and methodical with her sheering, making sure she got every inch of him without any nicks. She does a little bit extra, just getting the upper portion of his chest and harder to reach areas before stopping all together.
no subject
Back in that dirty stable, before he was sold, he was being forced to be sheered and had his wool taken away from him. Mu found that traumatizing and the humans weren't being gentle with that buzzing tool that clipped his wool.
Once most of the wool was sheered, Mu is starting to feel better, less suffocated, and much cooler, and the wool was off. With a sigh of relief, it turns out Mu was pretty smooth beneath the wool. Smooth skin, almost baby-like, though he was sweaty and in need of a shower. He put his shirt back on, and whatever wool left. Summer is hot, but now with the layers off, it wasn't that humid.
"You can keep that. If you can please give me that..." The electric clipper she has, he asked shyly, almost blushing. "I can cut out the rest."
no subject
She blinks as she realizes what she was doing and quickly withdrew her hand from him as he goes to put his shirt back on. She couldnt help but to blush and chided herself a little for that moment.
It was a night and day difference from when she first brought him home and now. She knows that he was still suffering from the trauma of his time with his captors.
"Thank you, Mu... For such a precious gift." She goes to kiss him on the side of his head. She was gathering the wool in a bag, already knowing what she was going to do with it. Emerald eyes blink at his request and she nods and hands him the electronic clipper.
"I will give you some privacy. There should be a bottle in the bathroom for you to use after you are done. It will help your skin a little."
With that, she leaves with his gift of wool and heads to her bedroom. First things first, she will have to make a call to a particular craftsman she knows.
no subject
With a smile, he's glad to see that his wool will be properly taken care of. Maybe she can make a quilt or a few articles of clothes to the villagers to make extra income. Or to use for themselves.
With a nod, Mu went to take care of himself in the bathroom to shave the rest. He was shocked he grew so much wool from the year he stayed with her. With a bit of clean up, he feels lighter, gets dressed, and return to Leanne with the rest of the wool to give to her, though this collection is thinner than the group of wool grown on his back.
The ordeal was embarrassing but he's a sheep, being wooly is a part of who he is, and he's cooler now. "Thank you, Leanne. Truly thank you. I dread summer because of the heat. I don't know what I'll do if I don't get sheared."
