[OOC: Another PSL AU pet person tale. Continuation of this thread!]
~
Mu lived in the wild once. He tried to remember what his original homeland was like. There are forests and mountains, and he travels with his nomadic herd as they migrate when the seasons changes. That was a month ago when he was captured by humans, shipped overseas in a cage and on a boat, then in a strange stable with the other animals where he was kept for a month, until he was moved again on a truck with the others, and he landed in another strange land, a village to be sold as an exotic pet for a quick cash in an auction.
Now he has no means in returning back home, back to the wild where he originally came from. As he has no idea how to travel there or the name of his homeland is. The human language, he's doesn't know their words and what they mean. He was a wild and feral sheep.
He never lives with humans before. Leanne is his first owner. When they first met, he was a very sickly sheep, traumatized from being captured from the wild and to be sold like a common household pet. She took care of him, nursed him back to health, and once he fit enough to walk around her home, it's the taming of his wildness and feral mind that comes next.
The pet and cuddles, and the kisses she gave him, during her breaks helped him withdraw from his shell and him trusting her as a human. He even learns to speak his name and her name.
"Mu...my name is Mu." He said as he cuddles with her on the couch. "Mu helps Leanne...? Teach? Learn?" New words he's learning. "Leanne is good."

She frowns as he looked hurt from her words and then his words. She goes at once to hug him and just hold him in her arms. "You certainly dont look like a runt and you are strong. You are so very strong, Mu. If the ewes didnt want you, then they dont know what they are missing. I know that if I was an ewe I would want you."
Her poor ram. His self confidence is so low. She continues to hug him for a couple moments more before letting go to start brushing his wool. There is still a lot of healing left to do with him but... He eats out of her hands and has regained almost all of his strength. She felt both humbled and honor that he put so much trust in her.
"I love you, Mu. I love you so much my cute, strong and handsome ram."
She just giggles softly as he goes to cuddle with her some more. "Thank you, Mu... If I ever need it, I will let you know but for now, it looks better on you." Though Hnnn, she knows that she will have to sheer it one day. If only because it Will be easier and healthier for him.
no subject
There's confusion. "But..." His self-esteem is low because he was rejected by females before, though he tried, and another young ram had the luck and won. "I love you too. But you're Leanne, not ewe." He shook his head. He loves Leanne as his precious human, and the human's job to take care of sheep like an owner.
"Leanne..." In deep thought, searching for the right words. "Is a cute, strong, and beautiful human." He looks at her hopeful, hoping he said the right words.
With a nod, he gave her a kiss on the cheek. "When wool is ready, Leanne can have it. For saving me." He bleats happily.
no subject
She smiles and goes to kiss one of his horns. "I know, but I still love you, my precious strong ram."
She blinks as he speaks those words and she couldnt help but to fidget a little with a lock of hair and blushes. "Th-th-thank you, Mu. For your kind words." Yup, he said the correct words.
Her blush only deepens as he kisses her cheek and beats happily. "It is an honor for you to be willing to give your precious wool to me."
no subject
Still, he smiled. He can't remember anything for now. She likes him soft and pretty and so does he. More hugs and kisses. More good words. He happily bleats. "I love you, Leanne." He bleats and cuddles her, and innocently kiss and licks with sheep nibbles.
"Wool for you. To give as thanks. It is a gift. You can have wool when summer comes." He said, his tail wags and ear wiggles. "Summer is hot. Don't forget to sheer me. Help Leanne. Mu is good?"
no subject
Giggles started to pour out of her as he bleats happily and just start smothering her with affection. Such innocent love and she couldn't help but to give the same back. "I love you too, Mu. I love you so very much."
And then the sight of his tail wagging causes her to giggle. "So cute..." She murmurs as he is just being too cute right now! She just wants to spoil him. "Yes, Mu is good and I won't forget to sheer you when summer comes."
And okay, she goes at once to hug him close to herself. "You are just too cute right now, Mu! I just want to spoil you completely and utterly. You are being too cute." A gentle squeeze and in a fit of playfulness, tries to do a sheep's bleat, smiling brightly as she can.
no subject
She bleats, a happy bleat, so he bleats too. As long the both of them are happy, and she's happy, then he's happy.

And that was their relationship for the next few months, just a nurse with a mellow pet ram who helps with her business to the best that he could, though he's a poor clumsy creature, his smiles, and his cuteness always bring her customers back.
He was still skittish, as always fleeing from the sight of dogs that with him operating the cash register at the front desk to collect money is nearly impossible, however he learns to go to a store or go on simple errands and fetch items that she wanted, and handle money when making purchases in the village's store. Over time, he can make deliveries of medicine to her customer, which he can handle as long the owner of the house doesn't own a dog.
At night, sometimes he shares a bed with her to keep her warm. He did get braver bit by bit, taking his time one day at a time as he did manage to go outside for a walk, exploring the surrounding area and the forests on his own, taking a hike through the hills, and came back to the clinic just in time for dinner. All of those walks through the villages and hikes through the forest and lifting heavy objects for Leanne is a good exercise for him, and with the good food, he's no longer thin, but filled out, building some muscle.
Whenever he went out to the meadow in the forest, he often bring back sweet forest flowers, sweet smelling herbs, wild berries, and eventually her bed smells like the meadow, and his wool smells like sweet flowers, lavender, sweetpea, roses, and soothing scents to help them both sleep.
The trouble began when a male customer came frequently to see Leanne, and it turned out he was a suitor who took an interest in her. He made it known he wanted to date her, chatting with her and taking up her time, flirting with her. What's worse, he's a dog owner, a sheepherder type and those types of dogs are what Mu fears the most.
Everytime that male and his dog came, that's when Mu flees to the back of the clinic to hide, leaving Leanne to handle the customer on her own, and unable to work, due to his phobia of dogs.

Happy sheep were the best sheep.
----
Has it already been months since she brought him home? Time seem to fly by when she was busy with work, only to slow down when it was bonding time. Mu has been a huge help to her in the clinic even if he was an errand sheep.
It brought her both pride and joy to see him growing more and more brave and less skittish around her patients. Before she knew it he filled out quite a bit and started to build muscle.
The gifts he brings her, she always made sure to thank him before giving him a kiss on the cheek. It didn't take long before her bed started to smell like the meadow and therefore, harder to get up in the morning.
It was the ideal life, one that she wouldn't trade for the world.... Unfortunately, someone decided to try and change it. A suitor who always seem to came by at times when she could spend bonding with Mu. By then, she had a set hours for when she bonds with him but now, he comes in not only when she is trying to help the last of her patients or gets ready to bond with Mu, but also his dog always scares away her ram, leaving her alone.
She always strike up a friendly chit-chat with him out of politeness and whenever he tried to ask her for a date, she would reject him as politely as she could. Leanne would make sure to give his dog a friendly pet but always tried to find a way to get him out of her clinic.
One day, she thought that she was safe from his visit and was about ready to close up her clinic for the break as she was having a very stressful day and needed Mu to just drape over him and vent a little. She was counting down the time and right before it could start, he came in. When will he learn that she wasn't interested in him? She didn't want him in that manner.
"How can I help you today?" All the sweet tone of voice while trying to hide her annoyance.
no subject
Nope, he doesn't need help. He just absorbing Leanne's time, wasting her time, with what's going on with his own animals, his mom, and his farm, and even bragging. Not taking a hint he's being friendzoned and preventing her from closing for the night.
Mu was tiring of being skittish, and everytime he sees that boy, his natural sheep instinct saw him as a competitor and a threat. It was close to dinner time and bonding time, and Leanne is closing down.
Still...that dog...he flinched at the sight of them. When he peered at the corner and realized that guy is still there, he was exasperated wanting him to leave and have his dinner already.
So, slowly he shyly approached from behind Leanne. "Hey that's your sheep! Hey little guy, hey buddy..."
Mu really hated dogs. He was bitten by them before and didn't like their barking. Despite the dog that accompanied him was friendly and used to seeing sheep, that he even greeted him, saying, "Hey a sheep, a pink sheep! Look a pink sheep! Hello! Hello!" Bark bark! Wag wag! Ready to herd sheep, though this one doesn't belong to his master.
Mu gave that guy a warning gentle kick to his legs to back him off away from Leanne. From a human point of view, it was a fluffy sheep kick. From a sheep point of view, it was a kick to a rival male in the herd or in this case, this male who keeps too close for personal comfort in Leanne's space.
"Hey your sheep is kicking me! Guess he doesn't like me, huh?" Mu kicked him harder and bleats angrily, which is as close to a growl it gets. Sheepy kicky kick kick the annoying human male and even confront him to nudge him and push him back further away from Leanne. "Yeow! Okay, okay, I'll go..."
Finally, the boy left, and his dog asked him why he didn't get the girl, as they both left, leaving Leanne and Mu alone.
no subject
She keeps up her sweet smile, holding herself back from going off on him. He was a sweet boy who could make a girl happy. Just, not her. Leanne wasn't even going to mention that she was planning on making dinner soon as he might just invite himself to it!
The boy could really drone on and on, not letting her really get a word in as it was all about him. Yup and oh gods, here comes the bragging.
She was saved when he notices Mu and she blinks in surprise that he actually came out even with a dog around and barking at him. "Mu?" She just watches in surprise as he goes to chase the boy and his dog out, even with the angry bleats. This was the first time she saw him acting even the tiniest bit agreessive.
When the boy and his dog officially left, she quickly hurries to lock the door and close the windows with a sigh before anyone else tries to get in. "You save me, Mu. I am not sure when he was planning to leave."
She couldn't help but to smile towards her ram and moves back towards him, sighing and slightly draping herself over him. "I am so glad that this day is over." She whines a little before moving off of him.
"I can finish closing later... Lets get you fed and off of our feet." Cause hers are killing her right now as she heads towards the stairs.
"I am surprise that you came out with his dog around, but I am glad that you did. He probably would have dragging me out for a "date" and think he was such a stud for doing so."
no subject
That angry expression becomes a blank look. "Leanne?" Confused look, like he doesn't remember what happened a few moments ago.
Then hopeful, he puts a cheerful expression, his cheerful self, almost childlike, lamb-like that Leanne is accustomed to seeing. "Dinner time? I want to eat buttery rolls with cheese." Ear wiggles when she hugs him and he bleats happily. "And steamed carrots and green beans."
Being a sheep, he happily follows her along, to the kitchen he hopes, as that's one of his favorite places besides the bathroom and bedroom.
"Date? Stud? What does that mean? I heard stud before, but stud means a big stallion who gets all the females in the barn. A horse. He's human, not horse."
no subject
His happy, cheerful lamb-like self is back and is acting so cute again. She giggles and hugs him even more. "I will do my best to cook what Mu wants for dinner."
She smiles as he happily follows her, she loves her precious sheep. She goes to head into the kitchen to start preparing dinner.
"Ah, a date is when a male takes a female he is interested in to try and woo her into becoming his mate. A stud, another way to think of it is when a male of any type basically thinks that women should fall for him because he is top pick in their mind." A brief pause. "But if a female calls you that, it would be considered a compliment as that means they think you are very attractive." Hopefully that helps clear it up a little.
no subject
Mu licks his lips. "Buttery rolls..." And to the kitchen he goes, where he is the most happiness and helps out with the cooking as he can and heat up the food and making dinner.
At her information, he thinks she's talking about horses but realized she's talking about human males. "Stallions get to pick a female they like and they mate to make a pony." He shook his head. "No...no female call me that. They say you're weak or too pink and they go pick another male." He said with a sigh.
"So if a human male likes you and calls you that, that means he wants you for a mate. That means making a baby too?"
no subject
She giggles at how happy he is with just the buttery rolls. His help was always welcomed and she made sure that he knew it by petting his hair and horns and giving him kisses on the horns or cheek.
She frowns and nods her head. "Well, I personally think they are missing out. You are definitely not weak and what's wrong with being pink? It matches your eyes beautifully and it's unique. That make you even more special and a ram who deserves to have a mate."
But then she couldn't help but to blush quite a bit. "Not... Quite. It is only use towards males but if he outright claims it, then yes... That means that he thinks he deserves making a baby with the female." A sight to try and will away the blush. "Like that male that you chased off, the one who keeps coming around. He wants me as his mate and to make babies with him. He is so convinced that he is one that even though I told him no, he won't listen."
She suddenly gets a tired look at the thought of dealing with him tomorrow. "He will probably come back tomorrow to try again. But hopefully, he has learned from tonight."
no subject
Dinner is made, and all the yummy, steaming vegetables, fresh from the surrounding farms are made on their plates served with crispy, hot dinner rolls fresh from the oven, where eaten with butter, it's the best thing he has ever eaten beside a nibble of fresh green wheatgrass and dry hay.
Dinner came and went, and Mu, having grown and learned of the routine taught by Leanne, took a shower, and puts on his pajamas to get ready for bed as it has been a long day. He's about to go to his bedroom, but he waited in the corridor by her room to see if she wants her nightly cuddles and pets.
"Are you cold tonight? Would you like me to join you?"
no subject
Dinner was always an enjoyable time. Before Mu, she would always eat alone and realize just how lonely she was. But now, it was so much better as he seemed to enjoy every bite of food.
The nightly routine started when dinner was finished and once she heads for bed, she catches sight of him waiting for her. She just smiles at him and nods her head. "I would love it if you join me, Mu. You are always so soft and warm." And she goes to head towards bed, scooting a little to give him room.
no subject
"If you were wanted a human mate, would he be like?" He asked her, curious as he yawns a bit, a sleepy bleat.
no subject
Emerald eyes blink at his question and she shrugs her shoulders. "First off, he would have to get your approval and he would have to like you. Then, I guess someone who is strong but kind. Someone who can make me feel safe and loved. He doesn't need to share my passions but it will be a nice bonus if he did." She yawns a little herself. "I think the most important thing would be he will have to have a gentle and loving heart, but not afraid to protect if the need arises. Loving children is a must as well."
She pauses a moment as she yawns again. "Why do you ask?"
no subject
And he is not certain if a human male would care for his approval, as today the guy just came in and ignored him, and it's hard for Mu to stay out of sight.
"What's your passion? Besides helping people and animals? I hope we have this clinic forever." He's curled up some more. "I don't remember what my homeland is like...or the name of my homeland. So this is home for now."
no subject
This... This was the most he was interested in her like this. A part of her wondered what spurred this on because that suitor coming in.
She blushes and looks away. "... I like flowers and singing." So much blushing right now. "As well as teas and baking." If he couldn't tell with her butter rolls as well as the horn decorations. Speaking of which, she reaches over to lightly touch his horns.
"Does... Does it bother or annoy you when I buy or make you those jewelry pieces? For your horns? I know that some of them are not manly at all...."
no subject
She may have to tickle him in the soft underbelly if she can reach for it if she wants to make him laugh. For now, the thick wool is all she's getting for her fingers to get tangled with. For now, her sheep hardly laugh, though he tends to mirror her laugh and giggle if he could.
He took mental note of what she said, and most of the stuff she likes, he likes as well. His horns are hard and bony, and they spiral around the side of his head. "It's okay. I don't mind..." He lets her do what she wants because a part of him craves that tenderness from a female.
"I belonged to you." He said and then closed his eyes trying to get some sleep, trying to make sense to what he's feeling today. "So I'm all yours."
For now, he is going to try to get used to her touches and her loving care, and trying to get some sleep. He's grown attached to her, but at the same time, he tries to cope in losing his herd, when he's in a pure state of ram mind, and the pain of losing his family and homeland as he remains with her. While he lost his home, he doesn't feel like a prisoner or being her pet against his will. As he no longer has to worry about finding his food on his own or fearing predators as he sees her as his Master.
He remembered in his past he can protect the herd, being one of the available alpha rams and fighting the other guys for mating rights...but now he can't remember his ability to be strong or to fight. The memory is gone as her touches tamed his body to be more warm, softer, and be more of a pet.
In a way, the wild ram within him has lost its will and wilderness and becomes a docile pet sheep, tamed by her kindness. He fell asleep at some point, but at times, wake up in the middle of the cold dark morning, crying and sniffling on the pillow beneath the blanket, praying she doesn't know. That it's lonely and a part of him tries to accept being a pet, getting used to this life, and actually liking it because he doesn't want to fight for sheer survival anymore, and he's growing more loyal to her by the day, being attached to a human and not resenting it, but accepting it.
no subject
Her hand continues to touch his horns. They... they probably could really hurt someone he he ever decided to use them. "Are you sure, Mu? Its okay to tell me that you don't like them."
She blinks at his words and sighs. "You only belong to me as long as you want to. I belong to you as well, my sweet ram."
She notices him trying to sleep so she reaches over to start petting his hair, humming softly to him before it slowly turns into a song. A lullaby that her mother would often sing to her. She studies him as she sings to him, hoping that her dreams will be peaceful.
She does eventually fall asleep, but feeling him move as he woke up, brought her out of her slumber. She can hear his crying and sniffling and doesn't open her eyes. The sadness in him... How can she help it? She wants him to be always happy. Perhaps, she should call her friend from the city to come down and study Mu. Maybe she can place where he is from and he can go home at last.
But... She has grown attached and used to him being by her side. It would sadden her if he wanted to go back home but... He was forcefully taken from it, if it will make him happier than that would be a sacrifice she will be willing to make for him. To give him the chance to go home once she can pinpoint where it could be.
no subject
Although she tamed him, and she is like a light shine in his life, Mu felt something is terribly missing, something that cannot be filled by just simple songs and touches, but he doesn't know what it is that is missing, as it's a gap in his memory and he cannot remember. Still, Leanne becomes more important to him by the day, that he does feel like the most unique sheep in the world and what's important is that she loves him.
And because of that, she comforted him and tamed him, and that makes all the difference, and while sleep is difficult for him, he managed to sleep, trying to overcome the deep bitterness of being taken away from home and being sold to be a slave and pet. Of all the humans, Leanne is the Master he's learning to be accustomed and perhaps learn to love.
- - - - -
Eventually as weeks and months passed since Leanne kept him as a pet, the friend from the city is a senior doctor, an expert in veterinary medicine, and a bald old kindly man with a grey beard and a pair of heavy glasses, who owns a bernard sherpard, who is also old and wears a business suit, just like his master, looking professional as he was the assistant. He came due to Leanne's call for help on the matter of her sheep and for an afternoon of tea and biscuits. Doctor William was his name, and Bernie was the dog's name.
After the examination of Mu, he returned back to drinking his afternoon tea. "Hmm, your sheep is unusual and unique. I have not seen much of his breed during my travels. Basing on the dreams that he had told me and his preferred food, I must say he must have come from the Himalayas. There's a lot of mountains there, famous for the tallest mountains in the world." The doctor even shows her the map on his phone where Mu can be, which is Nepal between India and Tibet.
"However, it's half-way across the world. I don't think your sheep will make it through a long trip. Whoever captured him, they sure put a lot of effort to bring him here, perhaps to be sold as an exotic pet. In that area, people tried to capture tigers, snow leopards, and snakes to be sold."
With the doctor's suggestions, "Perhaps you should try to introduce him to the local sheep around in the neighborhood? Maybe your sheep need to socialize. They're herd animals, so they need each other like a community." It was only a clinical suggestion, as the doctor never seen a sheep, but he had a seen a tiger once and that could go so well...if they choose to get along like a clan.
- - - - -
The doctor's advice for socializing Mu with other the local sheep didn't quite work out. Mu tried it, leaving home for a day in the morning and visiting the neighboring farms to join the herd/sheep community. Often Mu came home surly and irritable as irritable a sheep can be, and spoke little of his day. If anything he was annoyed, and more content helping Leanne around the clinic and be a productive worker in her clinic than visiting those farms. Screw the community. When asked what happened, all he said was that he had an argument and fight with the male sheep within the herd on those farms, and he didn't want to go back and be a part of any herd anymore. He tried all the neighboring farms with their sheep and it didn't work.
"I'm tired of being headbutting against them all the time. The females don't want me, and the guys don't want me there. And I'm having a headache." And he went to his room to rest his headache and to hide, and just he wouldn't upset Leanne if she sees the bruises from those argumentive fights he had with the local male sheep. At this rate, he gave up even trying to woo the local ewes, because he was foreign and strange, and he would brood and look grim and unhappy while working as the fighting and competing with the local males and being called weak and small by them is becoming tiresome and took a toll on him. In fact, he can recall it's the same courting ritual back home in his original herd.
But what did work for him is the doctor correctly guessed Mu homeland, and that was when he started studying the books, watching any films about mountains, and wild sheep, and the native people and their customary fashions and clothes, the people who lived there, and the information began to spark his memory.
"That was it, it was my home." He told her, eyes bright with emotion. "It was so far away..." Then with a sad smile as a memory came back to him when he gazed at the picture of the mountains and began to recall. "I remember...I'm starting to remember villagers make this spicy curry I like, and if I approach them, they eat it with a bread call naan."
no subject
"Goodnight Mu... Sweet dreams my handsome ram....." And after her songs, she shifts to give him a kiss on the cheek before cuddling against him again and going to sleep.
She.... She could not even imagine the pain he feels about his whole experience. She will have to find a way to make it up to him someway... Somehow...
------
Having Doctor Williams and Bernie visit always brightens her mood. She looked up to him and tries her best to follow in his footsteps. She goes to make the best tea she had available and worked hard on the snacks to feed him. She was a little worried about how Mu would act around Bernie and tried to stay by his side in case he gotten frightened of the old shepherd.
When Williams mentioned where Mu could be from, her eyes widen and her heard began to race, "Then... how? He was.... So cruel..." She couldn't properly finish her thoughts before shaking her head. "Then, there isn't a way to help him back home if he wanted to...."
She gives Mu a sadden and apologetic look as that would be far more than she could ever afford to do. "I am sorry Mu...." She can't get home back home without possibly killing him and then she would be no different than the people who kidnapped him.
Emerald eyes blink away the threatening tears at his suggestion and goes to nod her head. "Okay, I can try that. Maybe we will get lucky and he will find a herd." She goes to smile again. "Though the other rams would be jealous at how handsome you are."
------
Doctor William's visit was both depressing but also hopeful. Expect that it went rather poorly and she can see all the fights were taking a toll on him. No... he was supposed to find a herd to fit in and hate a mate. She tried to be encourage but she could tell that he was at his wit's end. When he went to brood in his room, she followed a bit before preparing some of her butter rolls and a hot soup to eat them with. She would leave the small meal along with some painkillers in front of his door, knocking on it before going back downstairs.
The only good news was that Mu was remembering his home and the bright emotion in his eyes was the first time she saw that. She looks towards the picture of the mountain and sighs. "I bet it was really beautiful." Guilt goes through her that she could not safely send him back home.
When he mentioned a curry and naan bread, she goes to ponder a little. "Do...Do you remember what was in the curry? I... I can see if I can recreated it for you." She will have to research online on how to make it properly. If it will give him a little bit of comfort than it would be worth all the troubles in perfecting it.
no subject
In his room, he badly wanted to brood, mean not wanting to eat, but then the painkillers, he'll need it as his head was spinning from headbutting as it's ram nature to headbutt each other and kicking each other to settle their arguments.
His eyes light up, and there are the ear wiggles and a tail wag. "I remember there's onions, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes...and it's orange-red, and it's very spicy and the villagers, they eat it with naan or rice and they share with my herd when we travel and passing by their homes." When she promised to make it for him, for the first time, he had hope and faith in her as his owner and something in his heart began to stir as it began to connect that she truly loves him.
"Would you...would you make it for me?"
no subject
She gave him the space he needed to brood and get over the pain. Giving him the food and painkillers were the only time she will prod into his space.
The ear wiggles and tail wagging... She giggles at the sight of happiness in him. His eyes... This had to be the happiest she has seen him. She listened as he listed the ingredients, making mental notes.
"Of course I will. Though I apologize if it wont taste as good as the villiagers. I will have to go and get the ingredients to try and make it. Please be patient with me to try and perfected it."
She goes to pull out her cellphone to start looking up recipes. "If you can see if the bakery has naan, then I can go to the store and pick up what we will nees for my first try."
